David is an Eagle Scout and native of St. Amant, Louisiana where he spent most of his time in Boy Scouts, playing baseball, running around in the woods, fishing, and spending time with family. He graduated from Louisiana State University where he earned his degree and completed the Air Force ROTC program. After college, David took an entry-level tech position for an auto insurance claims company and quickly worked his way up to IT Director of the company. Using the information he gained from analyzing data and processes, he greatly improved the company’s workflows. After several years, he began doing freelance database development work on the side. He saw the need for better IT systems in the small business world and with the wonderful relationships he’d built over the years, started Strix Louisiana in 2008. David is now married with three beautiful children. He and his family relocated to the Boise, Idaho area in 2022 where he plans on expanding relationships to bring better, simpler, secure IT to more small businesses. David hasn’t changed much, still enjoys family time, fishing, and finding ways to improve the way things are done.

Managing Partner

Tim began his career as the IT manager for a global CPA firm in Maryland. Tim witnessed the rise of computer technology as typewriters gave way to word processors, then to personal computers. Tim later used DOS and Windows while working with railroads and medical insurance companies, explaining the mouse to people. Upon joining a Norwegian Firm-Global Streamlines, he got to experience the first firewalls as cybercrime began to take hold. While Tim loved every company he worked for, he recognized a need for better IT, and he knew he could provide it. As a result, he created TSSI, his first company. His experience working with people, hearing their stories, and learning how he could help them was rewarding. Family is Tim’s number one priority. He has been married to Mindy since college, and she is his best friend, biggest supporter, and most caring person he has ever met. Being a grandfather is an honor for Tim that he enjoys dearly. His two daughters and three grandchildren are his pride and joy. In his free time, Tim loves to fly. It is the serenity, floating through the clouds, and experiencing the beauty of nature that he loves. In addition, he enjoys sharing it with others, such as his family and friends. In addition to traveling, he and his wife, Mindy are always exploring new places. Any chance they get, they love to attend an event, participate in an activity, or go to a sunny beach. His family enjoys NY wine country, small out-islands in the Bahamas, the TN Smokies, bass fishing in upstate NY, the Nashville country scene, and Cape May NJ beach, and the list just keeps on!

Service Manager

Lauren grew up in Southern New Jersey halfway between the Jersey shore and the city.
Lauren’s first “IT” job was a favor for a friend. She wasn’t supposed to be involved with the helpdesk but as it was a transitional time for the company she was with, she ended up answering phones and scheduling. From there her role grew into much like what it is today with Strix. Lauren is a true gift to Strix in that she manages our helpdesk and all of our techs scheduling and is a true light and joy to work with. One of the most hardworking people we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Lauren doesn’t consider herself much of a “techie” – but she does enjoy learning how to navigate certain systems. Lauren joining the Strix team upped our game and helped elevate us in so many ways. We’re very thankful for her super work ethic and standards.
Outside of work you can find Lauren spending time with her fur babies, reading, and traveling whenever she can.

Client Relationship Manager

Mike Casper grew up in Lompoc, CA. Growing up Mike enjoyed many hobbies such as baseball, basketball, football, bodyboarding, and camping. He loves sports and being active.
During his college years, Mike took the Fire Science Curriculum at Cuesta College and also went through the US Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer Academy. Mike was an honor graduate at the NCO academy; top 5% in a class of over 200. Mike spent seven years in active duty with the Air Force and seven years in the Air National Guard.
How was Mike lead to IT you ask? Mike worked close to IT in the Air Force. He moved to the Pacific Northwest, which is an IT hub, so he had a ton of exposure to tech.
Mike’s family life is one for the books. His family man through and through. Mike has 2 sons of his own and is engaged to his best friend, Amanda, who also has 3 sons. Today, Mike enjoys live sports, concerts with family and friends, grilling with family and friends, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Did you catch all the family and friends? Haha. Mike has been a baseball coach for the youth for going on seventeen years and counting. He loves spending time coaching and mentoring the youth and help with anything he can in their lives.
Mike is super social and loves community, which is why he’s an amazing client relationship manager for Strix. Mikes favorite area of IT to work in is helping customers resolve IT issues and challenges allowing them to be more efficient.

Service Coordinator

Born in “The City of Trees” Eli loved Sacrament, CA. He grew up in a super close and tight knit family who loved him dearly. Family is one of Eli’s most prized possessions. Eli grew up in-line skating his entire life. He started play street jockey with friends, then he and his friends all got into in-line skating and also skated competitively growing up. Eli picked up the hobby of cycling and enjoyed riding long distances throughout California.
Eli was a high school graduate, though he didn’t attend college. Instead, he chose to focus on self-directed learning. His journey into IT started at the age of 10 when he built his first computer from spare parts to play Age of Empires. While he spent much of his childhood outdoors in sunny California, skating, his passion for tech was rekindled around 2020. He taught himself to code in order to create his own mobile apps, and since then, he has expanded his skills across various areas. Eli experimented with IoT devices, built a home lab with self-hosted apps, game servers, and continuously seeks new ways to learn and grow.
Eli doesn’t have a family of his own yet, but he’s fortunate to have a large, loving family that he spends a lot of time with.
Eli still loves in-line skating today as well as endurance cycling. During winter, you’ll find Eli park skiing at his local mountain. He’s also developed a passion for woodworking, where he enjoys making his own furniture. Cooking is another hobby of Eli’s as well as spending time restoring vintage road bikes.

At his core, Eli is a problem solver, and he finds great satisfaction in helping others. One area of IT that deeply interests him is cybersecurity, as he’s driven by the need to protect individuals in the digital world. Eli is a super positive person who is optimistic about the future.

IT Support Professional & Networking Specialist

Born and raised in Utah Josh was one of twelve children. With a childhood filled with Boy Scouts, camping trips, and outdoor adventures, Utah proved to be the perfect place to grow a love for problem-solving and exploration.
Shortly after arriving in Oregon, Josh joined the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician. Following the events of 9/11, he was rapidly deployed and went on to serve five years stationed out of Whidbey Island, Washington, with deployments to the Middle East, Germany, and Japan. He completed his service honorably and returned to Oregon with a strong technical foundation and a mission‑focused mindset.
Transitioning into civilian life, Josh pursued higher education at the University of Oregon and the University of Arizona, earning a degree as an Information Technology Information Security Specialist (ITISS).
Outside of work, he spends time wife Ashley, and together they are raising three amazing kids. Josh makes it a priority to slow down when he can and enjoy life.

IT Support Professional & VOIP Specialist

Pete began tinkering with computers in 1989, loved it, and has never stopped. He is a native of a small country town named Mt. Airy, Maryland where people drove their tractors to school. From the basics to modern automation, IT never ceases to amaze him. Pete is an asset to Strix in that his brain is always looking for a solution and how to fix things. In Pete’s off hours, he dabbles in freelance IT, demolition, renovation, cleanups, landscaping, camping, gaming, time with friends and family, and basic car work. He loves woodworking, music (he’s even self-produced a couple of albums), hiking, and biking. Pete enjoys taking his kids out to trailblaze. Together they clean up existing trails while seeking to create new ones. With so many interests and loves, Pete always saves time for unraveling the mysteries of the universe.

IT Support Professional & Cloud Specialist

Growing up in Jackson, Michigan was magical of Ej. As a young kid, his obsessions were trains and magic. As he got a little older, it evolved into roller coasters, video games, computers, and Pokemon. Ej was a super bright kid with an amazing imagination and very creative.
He went to a high school that was on a local community college campus, so he had the opportunity to be dual-enrolled and take college classes during his last few years of high school. He didn’t have a career in mind yet, so he was taking mostly math, physics, and 3D modeling classes because that’s what interested him. After high school, his goal shifted to becoming a character animator, and he attended a trade school specifically for character animation led by animators at Pixar, Disney, Dreamworks, and other studios. He loved it, but eventually went back to traditional college due to costs. He lived in Northern Michigan and completed a degree in Computer Information Technology with a focus on Infrastructure.
Though Ej’s hobbies and interests have shifted over the years, one of the constants has been a fascination with computers. He loved taking stuff apart as a kid and seeing how it worked and to figure out how these magical machines worked, he dedicated his life to the study of computer science.
Ej met his wife just after high school 15 years ago, and they’ve been happily married for 7 years. They moved all over Michigan and eventually landed in Portland in 2019 and back to Michigan in 2025. They have a son who is so sweet, curious, and gregarious.
Ej’s favorite area of IT is networking, because it’s where, as an IT tech he gets to see the computer science theory become practice. Mixing theory developed in the 40s with protocols that were developed in the 70s and using them right alongside technology that didn’t exist 5 years ago feels like the most pure form of computer science and almost feels magical. Ej is an interictal part of the Strix team and brings his A game day after day.

Marketing & Documentation Specialist

Candace is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she grew up drawing, painting, mud riding, crawfishing, and enjoying the outdoors. Her career began as a teen working for law firms, her local DA office, and other office jobs. From an early age, she loved art, organization, processes, and things to be kept in neat order. Candace found her place as an auto insurance claims adjuster in 2007 where she met her husband. Candace had the opportunity to put her organizational skills to use as a claims adjuster, as well as help people, which is very dear to her heart. As she and her husband began to work together, Candace found that her love for art, processes, and keeping things neat could be used in the tech world. Candace enjoys creating unique marketing strategies and systems that assist her Strix team in working simpler, better, and more secure. She and her husband have three beautiful girls and are a dance family. All 3 girls dance, complete, and travel. Candace also homeschools all three of her girls. Candace and her family relocated to the Boise, Idaho area in 2022 in order to provide even more businesses with simple, better, and secure IT, as well as continue to grow the Strix team.

Finance & Administrative Specialist

Growing up, Courtney enjoyed competitive gymnastics and Olympic weightlifting. She graduated in 2016 from Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and is also a former middle school band director. Courtney has studied graphic design and business marketing through Philadelphia University and is looking to start her MBA in the near future.  Courtney is very detail oriented and efficient in her areas of responsibility within the company. Alongside auditing, she maintains Strix’s internal operations to ensure everything stays clean and organized. She currently resides in Maryland with her husband and 3 daughters. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys reading, music and baking breads and natural snacks for her kids.
